I have a 2013 v6 and mine was overfilled also. I noticed it but decided to be lazy and ignore it. Mine was filled all the way to the cap.

I did an autocross 2 weeks ago and now I have a lot less paint in the engine bay. Mine is way worse than the pictures here. This might be a legal weight reduction for my autocross class though.

That sucks! I would go back to the dealership and make them fix it. I had to take my '11 back for bad paint on the hood. C'mon Ford, you were doing so well!

Thanks for posting this, I put a post in the General tech for S197. It is not limited too GT500's my 2013 GT had the same issue. Came across it this morning after reading your original post.

Thanks

Glad I found this! I've got 2 spots of bubbling paint, 1 under the tank but nothing leaking directly above it....1 dime size spot directly under the reservoir where it mounts to the booster on the firewall. got fluid on my finger when I checked that one. fluid is about an inch below the max line....guess I'll mention it when I take it in for the irritating clatter in the front end suspension!
