Default Spark Plugs w/ tune and CAI on GT500

We just finished installing a JLT big air on my dads GT500 from revan racing as a package with a SCT tuner from Lund. The kit also included spark plugs, we wanted to know if its necessary to put them in if we just want to fire it up and take if for a test drive with the new tune and CAI.

Also included in the kit was a 2.5" pulley but we have yet to put that on, we just want to check it out before we change it.

They are gapped to 0.030"

Anyone??

EDIT*
Well I called Van and he said to change them because of the increased psi just from remapping the ECU. But then I also found this from Justin at VMP: http://vmptuning.com/forum/showthread.php?t=961 soooo I guess we are changing them in the AM haha

I dont know if you plan on dyno'ing or just butt dyno, but I'm curious how the car performs differently. Can you post your observations afterwards?

Well we took it out today and it ran good, but once we started to go over 3psi the JLT filter kept popping off..... Gotta find a fix before we can push it further.

Yea the shroud was pulling against the back of the filter and it didn't help the filter was greasy lol so we sanded the inlet pipe a tad and the inside of the filter and repositioned the shroud and it fixed the problem. Then we closed the hood and saw that the shroud was making the hood bulge on the side sooo we are gonna have to take it out again and trim it down a hair or two... Jeeze I figured for all the $$$$ it woulda fit a little better. No worries we should have it sorted out by the end of the week.

Wow... I never heard of someone having so many issues with a JLT CAI... Have you tried calling Jay at JLT and. Working with him to get a new one? Maybe a defect or something ?

No I havnt called, but I guess we should before we do anything else. Its surprising that no one else has had this problem... The hood closes and latches all the way, but there is an obvious bulge in the gap on the drivers side between the hood and fender. Ill call tomorrow and find out whats up.
