I apparently have a crack in my H pipe. I haven't got under the car to look at it yet, but the dealer that diagnosed it as the cause of my exhaust rattle said it looked like the metal split open (no evidence of impact). Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue? Don't know if it is a material defect or excessive heat cycling. Maybe they need to make these things out of titanium.

 

I'd be careful that the police don't find out. That stuff's still illegal a lot of places!

 

Probably illegal in CA, but I have a flat, so haven't been driving it. Got a screw in the shoulder. Might not be repairable so going to go forward with new wheels and tires. Exhaust is pretty loud even without a crack, so I might have to put the stock one back on to avoid unwanted attention from the 5-0.

 

I was making a drug joke...crack...H-pipe...LOL

 

Doh.
