Default 2020 PP price increase

Been shopping for cars and saw the PP is now over 5,000, I only glanced at the features. Does anyone know what was changed to justify the price increase or is it just greed?

There are two levels of pp now, pp1 and pp2. Pp2 makes the GT almost match the track performance of a gt350 non R.

a little pricey yes but, if you were to try and add the upgrades aftermarket over just buying the package, it would cost you more to add later on. That and the warranty on all the upgraded parts would not be the same as if they came already installed on the car. 1yr/12k miles vs the factory warranty of 3yr/36k miles or 5/60k depending on the part group.

If you are asking about the PP1, yes, it went from $3995 to $5195 I believe. Not sure why it is. When the 2020 GTs showed up in 2019, it had the PP1 priced at the same as last year at $3995. It was at that price for a few months and all of a sudden, it changed to $5195 sometime this year. I called Ford and did not get an answer. I was at the Chicago auto show and still no one knew about the change. I am wondering if you are serious about buying one with the PP1, I would ask about the price hike and talk to them that no other packages increased that I know of so why should the PP1? If you also look online at some of the 2020 GTs on sale and look at the window sticker, you will find some with the PP1 price tag at $3995 and some at the higher price. Weird.
