While there are a host of posts (no pun intended) on the GT, why am I the first for the 650 Eco-Boost? That said, I am a new member and a new owner of a 2024 Eco-Boost Premium. I've been looking at the Eco-Boost for a couple of years for several reasons. One is, I own a 2019 Ranger, with a hood-space full of upgrades (≈350HP, 390TQ). Worse, it recently got hit to the tune of $8K, and will be laid up for a couple of months (parts shortage!), hence the purchase.
So far, I like the car, and haven't found any mechanical issues. I didn't expect to, as it has under 300 miles as I write this. I can't get the remote control to save the drive mode setup, albeit the manual says it should do so. Ford's support group took my information about the issue, and I should be hearing back from them... Hopefully!
As for mods, I think Ford has seen the legal-lithography (no pun here either) and locked everything down. In this case, I really don't care. Even dead stock, it is quicker than the Ranger (weight advantage to be sure). Someone here complained about the exhaust note (noise?) of a used and mod'd GT. Frankly, the Eco-Boost is louder than I thought it would be, but not nearly as loud as the Ranger (all Borla including the high-flow cat).
By the way, it is all white (it gets hot here in Roswell, NM!) with the lighter gray interior, with really light gray seat inserts.
Well, it is just a plain-Jane Eco-Boost Premium, with the standard 200A list of goodies. One thing I'm quite surprised with however, is the 0 to 60 MPH time. Ford says 4.9 seconds, presumedly at sea level. According to the built-in dash timer (and my Draggy as well), it turned in a respectful 4.77 seconds! And at 3,500 foot altitude to boot! This was in Sports mode, traction control off, and no line lock! This is about what C&D and MT good too.
Looks good. My 2019 EcoBoost was white, as was my 2017 EcoBoost convertible.
For 2024 I went back to black and to a GT. The 2019 with performance package was nimble on the track, but on the straights the GT's were too quick. Not a problem in the turns, but couldn't get away from them on the straights.
I have no intentions to return to racing. I did race an 86 Merkur for a few years. Later on, a friend tried to get me into Spec Miata. I might have done so if I was still in my thirties, but at 84 I'm retired from the courses and into the stop light derby scene!

I didn't say I no longer "play" with car toys! As I mentioned, the 2019 Ranger is well warmed over.
I'm probably speaking too soon (?), but I haven't had a traffic citation since 1974, and that one was for wasting resources (remember the oil crisis?). I also admit I don't take any (more) car magazines. At onetime, I think I had as many as 5 subscriptions, but only one of them really talked to me and that was Automobile (David E. Davis, Jr. perhaps). Even to this day, the stuff you read from the likes of C&D, MT, etc., are just repeats of one another. Fact is, I think FoMoCo does a better job (through Ford Media) of telling the facts and figures. This relates to all sorts of specs, including fuel economy which no car mag gets right!
