I just bought an 04' GT w/ Roush GT Shaker package. Competition Orange. 5sp manual. 6000 miles. I have been told by 2 different people that this is a rare car. Can anyone tell me if this is true and where to find documentation of it? Thanks!

The Roush shaker is available through aftermarket, but I have little knowledge about it. i like the orange paint...looks tough on your car. I had an 04 GT 40th, black with the same wheels. Sold it to get an 05 S281SC then sold that to get an 06 S281E.

I really liked the 04...wish I was wealthy enough to have kept it and still got the Saleen. A race block, forged internals and twin hairdryers would have been awesome on that car. Hehehehe

The new bodystyle just doesn't appeal to me as much. The yellow color on yours stands out though. It's nice to not blend in, huh?

I actually have a Roush serial # and I know the GT Shaker package was installed when the car was manufactured. Do you know if it makes this a rare car? I bought it as a daily driver and don't want to rack up the miles on it if it is something out of the ordinary. I've looked all over on the internet in the last couple of days, and I'm just not finding a lot of information.

I would guess it's fairly rare, but I have no real info to base that on. I really like the shaker hood and scoop...and the color. That orange just looks fast on cars like yours and the Mach 1.

I really, really like the 05-06 body style, but I just like about every mustang body with the exception of the old 75-78 style.

Is the Roush package from the dealer or a mod done after market? The attached link is to yellow mustang registry but it gives you units sold for all colors up to 2004. If it's classified as a GT, there were just under 6500 units sold. If it's a Mach I it's one of just over a 1,000. Either way, you have a car and color that doesn't have a whole lot of company.

I have actually been discussing this with someone who verified with the VIN# that this car is one of only 20 or 22 made by Roush with the GT Shaker package. 1 of 6 in Competition Orange. (The Roush GT Shaker was only offered on the '04s as was Competition Orange) There are a lot of aftermarket modified cars out there, but this one is the real deal. I came accross it by dumb luck. It's just a GT with the Roush GT Shaker package. I almost did buy a friend's Mach, but it was white and I liked the orange better. I just hate to blend in........ Thanks for the link, though!
