Since loosing my 02 S281E, I have been a little bummed. I had been trying to figure out what I was gonna do for a vehicle. I thought about it and thought about it, and after struggling with for a while, I am going to go the 05 Saleen route, via an 05 E car. Lots of things have helped me decide to go this way. I'm not sure about the color. I might have Saleen do beryllium for me, but I'm really not leaning that way. Maybe dark shadow grey, maybe black, not sure. I liked true blue way better that the sonic blue, so I think blue is out. I'm not a big fan of red. -or white. It looks like I will have one of the very first E cars out, and Saleen wants it to be involved in the magazines, and is willing to help. Works for me. I'll probably keep it a year and sell it. I probably won't have the car til January. I thought about doing an 05 gt and modding it, but if I do so the value will drop, especially if I heavily mod it-(which I would). If I do the Saleen, I'll get a good enough deal on it to be able to make a few bucks if I sell it in 06. I will probably go down to Saleen headquarters while it is being built and check it out. I have started this process in motion, as of last week. Did I ever consider vehicles other than mustangs? I did, actually. Last week, just for kicks, I went and drove a new m3. I good friend of mine in San fran. is into M cars, and wanted me in one. Never happen; they are nice cars, but cost too much to work on. Also, the one I drove was was too slow for me. I would have to have Dinan go into the engine and add a blower for me to be happy, and that's not happnin'. I considered a Viper for a while, but I can't stand the set back feeling and the protruding hood.(similar to a vette) -That's one reason I don't like vettes, I hate the protruding look of the hood. I feel like I'm too far back in the car. -So, the C6 and Z06 won't make the bill. Even if I got a Z06, it would need hp mods for me to be happy with it. The 05 E will be right around 490 hp stock. 05 E car, here we go......

Glad to hear it man. Didnt know Saleen was gonna make an E car in 05, but it looks like your gonna have one! Keep us posted with info and pics - id love to see it.

Hey birdie I know I said this in my PM, but good choice on the new E car. I can't wait to see them. Definitly post pics when you get it in Jan, maybe. Did you hear anything about what is to become of your old E?? I haven't called Saleen yet on the series V blower yet. I was hoping maybe you heard something. But till then, good choice I can't wait!!!

Hey Birdie that sounds great! Haveyou seen what an 05' will look like? I'll be at SEMA Nov. 2 and see one there, but I think they will be all over the net by then. I agree with you reference the Saleen vs. other cars. The Saleen is unique and is certainly a lot of bang for the buck. By the way, I'm a noob here, so what happened to your 02'?

Don't know when birdie will be on, so I'll tell you what I know. Birdie left his car at the dealership to get some work done while he was away, when he came back and called the dealership, he found out they totalled his S281E (beryllium), so he gets to get a new one now!!
