Watts link vs. MaxiGripâ„¢

RE: Watts link vs. MaxiGripâ„¢
I think some of the confusion is that for 2007, Ford made the 3.55 gears optional ($100) on the Mustang GTs. They probably did this for corporate fuel average. However, no matter what gear ratio you get, the GTs all come with limited slip differential.

(And please, please...don't call them "High Density Headlamps" without using a smiley. I've ragged on Saleen about this for about 6 months now and am considering just hacking into their server and changing it myself.)

The Saleen MaxGrip diif. is a viscous limited slip. It incoporates a geo-rotor pump (basically the same design as a Ford oil pump). As one wheel spins faster than the other, fluid pressure increasesand applys pressure to the clutch pack.Works great on entry, mid-corner and exit cornering. Thats the simple way of describingit. Another close comparison is the Torsen diff.
