I stumbled across this 4-page article about how Phil Frank's design for the '05-'07 S281 came about. I'm not sure if any of you have seen this before, but I thought it was worth posting:

I liked the rough sketches on page 1 of the rear end (especially the one with 4 circular tail lights) and the hood vent cover.

That's a great article. Did Phil Frank design any of the past Saleen Mustangs? Says he did the S7 but no mention of prior Mustangs.

He worked on the '94-'98 and '99-'04 Saleens as well. Check out his website (see the link in SayWhen's post) and click on the various car thumbnails. There will be a number of grey boxes along the bottom of the screen. Click on each box to see various pix and sketches for prior Saleen designs. Fun stuff.

...and his personal saleen was for sale recently at performance autosport. It was kind of expensive, though.
