Default RE: mod job ?

Hey Nasty GT:
This is what I have put together for a a mod list with prices. See if this is in line. It is for a 04 SC Vert.
FRPP 3:73 Gears bought and installed $525.00 with my MGW Shifter being installed same time.
A Tune and Dyno session $479.00
90 MM MAF $112.00
Accufab TB 75 MM
JLT Cold Air Intake $225
SVT Fuel Pump $100.00
42 lb Injectors $400.00
Chicane Small Pulley with belt $119.00
Iridium Plugs $96. for 8.
Estimated install of additaionl parts besides Shifter and Gears$75.00

So net net $2323plus S&H and I am done this year.
This seems close to what some of the mods you are looking at.
Anybody else offer any feedback on this list as well? It is a combination of mods of other 04 Saleen owners that I have e-mailed with etc. I assume I should be at the 370-390 RWHP and 450lbs in Torque? Does that sound accurate?
It is appreciated.
Thanks

89.....I know your questions weren't directed at me....but some food-for-thought.

Will you need a chip to burn the tune to......I don't know my way around Saleen's tune very well, but I understand the Saleen tune is pretty tough/impossibleto navigatefor tuners (without just doing a canned, flash tune that overwrites Saleen's)?If so....add around $300.

That's a pretty good deal for the 90 mm MAF.....what are you going with, Lightning?

Make sure they use your old coil packs.....or you'll be looking at more $$ than what it takes to do just plugs.

You'll be pretty close hp-wise to your proposed numbers. But, your torque number may be a bit lower (ExtremeSaleen and I were pretty close after similar work, as far HP output being close to torque output.....though, this is probably tune-dependent).

Hey Mills 281E thanks for the feedback here is what the Dyno place advertises and the cost is the $479.00 the website is www.performance-dyno.com,
I have been told he is real good at getting the Saleens to run much better, but my lack of knowledge here does hurt some what . Does this seem the right approach?

As far as the MAF goes Igot the price form Casey at Haney for a 90MM MAF being $112.95? I assume its correct he sent it to me in an e-mail. I am probably going to buy most of my Stuff from him as well as Chicane.

Xcalibrator2 Custom tune:
This package includes the Xcalibrator2 model 9400 and a custom dyno tune on our dyno. The Xcal2 will work on all 96-up Ford cars and trucks. This tuner will hold up to 3 custom tunes as well as the stock tune. It will also data log any parameter in your cm as well as read and clear codes. All software to datalog is available free on sctflash.com. The Xcal2 retails alone for $379. You get extra value when doing a custom dyno tune! Tunes can be emailed as well!
Price: $479 for a limited time!!

I apologize.....tunes aren't my bag []. The only thing I can tell you is that I ended up going with a SCT 6600 Superchip (4 bank) for $319 with a SCT switch ($25) so I can change timing/tune from inside the car (inside the glovebox).

My guess is......the software Higgins used is probably similar to the one pictured above (as SCT is one of several chip companies for which they had tuners).

Regarding the dyno, they told me up front that it would take 2 to 3 hours at$150/hour.

Looks like Casey is giving you some great prices......and I suspect theshop that's doing the work will do a great job. Especially since they have worked on Saleens in the past. Higgins hadtruck loads of experience working on big modded Cobras and GTs with, by their own admission, less experience with Saleens.

The 2002 Extremescame with 42 pounders

I went through Higgins for my purchases since they were doing the work. My 90 mm MAF is a SCT.....for a whopping$299 [:@] It had a Lightning 90 mm....but I might of been close to maxing out the air flow with the Lightning if I wanted to do anything in the future.

I'm not sure to tell you the truth.....they're both made from a plastic/composite. So the material they're made out of isn't much different.Only thing I can guess is theSCT's sensor can process more airflow than the Lightning. The Lightning 90 mm MAF maxes out around 500 HP......SCT 90 mm MAF is good into the 600's.

If the place is reputable than the price isn't bad. The TB does seem kinda high. You could install this piece on your own.
