Remove some parts before selling Saleen clone?
Hypothetically if I were trying to sell a Saleen 3v clone I had, would I make more money added up, if I took off the peices from the Extreme package for the "supercharged "version, or kept them on and sold it that way? The extreme package you can get on the Saleen S/C adds carbon trim to the front and rear bumpers. Assuming I could sell those for $1000, and the average list price for all the last Mustang GTs sold on ebay I can find is $21000-$22000 consistently with the same miles, which should I do with a Saleen Clone?
It's well known on the forum that removing selling parts that are aftermarket and not designed into OEM on your car, will make you a lot more money than selling them with the car (unless it's an SC or Turbo), but to be objective keep in mind that this is a real Saleen part, and not something that has problems etc, so it's got a big leg up on the average mod.
Thanks for the advice and to clear things up I'm asking if a prospective buyer is willing to pay $1000 more on a modded GT for the trim, and equally want to buy it as the same car without the carbon fibre for $1000 less assuming nothing strange is there.

I'm not exactly sure I get the specific point that you are trying to make. At any rate, I think you would be ahead to sell the car without the splitter/diffuser, and sell that seperately, as you would with about any removeable aftermarket part. I usually strip my vehicles before trade in or sell of everything that will come off with a minimum amount of effort, or those that I have OEM parts for. Also, I wouldn't remove anything that is a selling point for the car or that makes the car less reliable or less worthy.
On a side note, I'd love to havethat faux 'E' diffuser/splitter setup, but I absolutely refuse to pay the $3000 for a couple of pieces of CF.[&:]

If anyone is interested in the car itself it's a "Red Fire" GT Saleen Clone, with very low mielage and many many aftermarket goodies.
