Hi guys new member here. I have been trying with no luck to find a saleen aluminum sc hood for the 05-09. Anyone have any leads or info. as to where i might find one for sale would be great. I know it's next to impossible at this point but i hope with a little extra help from you all maybe i will get lucky.

I don't think you will have much luck finding a aluminum Saleen hood there's alot of people looking for them and no one making them. Trufiber is starting to produce a composite and carbon fiber version.It has the vents but also has a center scoop. Google SMS 25A,thats the hood.

 

Yes TruFiber makes a Techco/SMS style hood for Saleens. Saleen will also be producing a fiberglass hood again at the end of July, and likely a carbon fiber one. However im getting the aluminum ones will be gone for good.

The trufiber hood is a good looking hood. Has anyone had any issuse with a fiberglass hood as far as fit and finish. Are all holes pre drilled for the hood latch, washer nozzles, and hinges. Also has anyone heard anything about the quality on the duraflex hoods by extreme dimensions

 

The TruFiber one has pre drilled prop rod hole drilled and for the latch and everything. There are no nozzle holes, but they sell a re-location kit that moves them to the windshield wiper.

 

The fiberglass hoods that came from Saleen required a lot of sanding to get them smooth. My paint guy spent hours getting mine perfect.
