Hurst Black Pistol Grip. Old school.

I may replace the whole shifter now as the action has got sloppy from all my reefing on the ****. going to take the whole thing off and see if I can tighten it up and get the f&*%%ing **** off. If not, chuck in garbage and get another.

Well, kudos to anyone who can get an 06 **** off. Even after I had the shifter out of the car in a vice and clamped on the **** it still won't move. Tossed the stupid thing in the garbage and put in a Steeda Tri-ax with the Hurst ****. I will post pictures tomorrow.
I hope everyone is happy for life with the stock ****! By the way, if you do this change, don't drop the driveshaft, pm me and I will tell you how to get it out. Its slow work but easy to do.

Oh man, I was looking for a good laugh this morning. I thought you were going to say when you finally took the whole shifter out that the **** unscrewed very easily by hand

I bet the Tri-ax is a big improvement

I wish I never would have tried to change the ****. I ended up wrecking the stock **** and shifter trying to get it off so in the end I had no choice. Saleen said to take a heat gun to the **** and see if that would soften up the loc-tite. Tried that too. No dice. Either I am useless, my car is a freak or 06 ***** are not coming off. I got it finished late last night and have not test drove the car yet.

Here's a pic of the finished product. Looks and feels great but I am not sure it was worth all the hassle.
