Default Our work in progress.

My dad bought his Mach 1 in 78 brand new, and then drove it for 120k. It last ran in 1989. From 1990 to 2010 it sat in our garage waiting to be reborn. We're now part way through our work. When we're done, It'll have a 5.0 and a ton of well deserved attitude.

This is how it looked before work began:

Since these pictures were taken, we've removed everything in the interior and engine compartment. Next step is to remove the front suspension and then get it off to a body shop to do some minor rust repair and to prep it for repainting. Both of the foot wells need replacing and the left rear quarter panel. But hopefully it won't be too long until we can get it put back together.

My grandpa also has a 74 Hard top, 4 cylinder, though I don't have any pics of it. It still runs like a charm.

Nice pics all of you, it's nice to know we're not the only ones with Mustang IIs anymore.

Default My 76' Cobra II

My first car...Like everyone else, I miss it and wish I still owned it. I bought it from my friend Scott Perry (I think that was his name), he had two Cobra IIs and was from Ohio. He was very fond of these cars and assured me, back in 1992, that they would soon be collectors items...if anyone knows him please let him know that I am looking for him (like 1,000 Perry's that live in Ohio btw). Funny that I still live in Hawaii, 20 years later and I own a 67 (that I've had for eight years and won't let go...ever).

Its still in development but its coming along. My 78 Ford Monroe Handler Mustang II uses an original previously uninstalled 1970s Monroe Handler body kit that had been in storage since the late 70s. The build on the car represents the best of everything about Mustang IIs in terms of performance and luxury and I have gone to great lengths to utilize era correct parts and technology rather than new modern components. Its been a challenge and a labor of love. Hopefully you get the concept and it makes a connection with you too. Enjoy it!!!
