Practice before getting DR's

it could be the 20's but I think with your mods and some more practice you should be able to hit 13.5 or even 13.1
heres my Time slip from bone stock auto on stock 17's strait from the road
Third trip to the track with the s197

I'm not so sure that practice alone is going to shave almost a full second off my ET, dude. Those rims are just too damn heavy. They're chrome, and chrome is heavy. The wheels are 32 lbs each and my tires are 29 lbs each. That's friggin 122 lbs of weight to spin.

Ya practice might not shave a full sec but practice+17's might
if you can try getting the 17's and street tires before the DR's to get a little practice in stages

I'm saying you have a CAI, 93 tune, 4.10's and I know some with just that much that have reached into the low 13's
how high were you launching from?

on street tires try around 1000-2000

since yours is manual you can launch as high as you want but street tires might limit you to about 1000-2000
infact on mine any higher than 1000 and I'd get wheel spin

but I've been told that an off idle launch is the worst it may not spin thw wheels but it bogs and hurts the time

I'd try verying the launch RPM till the wheel spin is minimal but still saftly away from idle

i'm going with the Hoosier drags for the RSX. and MT ET streets for the stang on GT stock 17's. i wouldnt get those MT DR's u posted tho... just ride on 20's til u get to the track and swap'em out there. Bring jacks and cordless impact wrench and u'll have wheels on/off in no time.

i'd really like to know how to do a burnout on the auto tho....

The way I was told is
Turn off TCS
hold the brake
raise the RPM's to 1000~1500
then ease off the brake but not all the way just feather it
ease into the throttle
till you feel it trying to pull
then floor it

Why not? And I wouldn't drive on them for that long. I'd swap them out at Eric's shop in LaPorte.
