sd is good but eventually you will have to lose the stock ecu. you can max the stock config so far and that is it . the stroker i am planning on building is going carb!

well the bread box intake is a part of it ,if you have 24#injectors that is a big part of it as stock sd is only compatable with 19# and no bigger .are you useing stock sd or a stand alone efi.

I have a question. I have never dealt with SD and i just got an 87 5.0 notch 5 speed with SD. I was considering switching to MAF. If I am looking to run around 350 hp what should I do? I will be changing heads and upper/lower intake along with a basic rebuild(pistons, rings, gaskets, etc.) How hard is it going to be with an SD setup? Any help is appreciated.

themost important things to remember with sd is the cam lobe seperation must maintain 114 degrees seperate and 19# injectors is the biggest you can run with stock sd .and that nos is our friend with sd

I have never messed with NOS. What would be an appropriate shot? Can I get around 350 hp without nos with the stock SD? If so what mods should I start with? I was planning on gt40 heads, explorer upper and lower. I would like to go with a cam too. Also what cam can I run? Sorry about all the questions. I have a lot of experience with diesel and chassis but not aftermarket.
