Default heads intake for DD

Hi I have a 84 GT HO Vert 3.73 rear axel gear(all stock as far as I know) and use it fora daily driver. I have done some research andam not trying to build a land rocket, but as the intake/ ehaust is not the best on these cars I was wantingto free up some ponies with some upgrades.

here is what I am thinking for now:
gt40- not p- heads. because of exhaust headers ($300-400)
used aluminum heads 58-63CC - I have seen some on ebay(canfield, holley systemax, others go for $500-800 a set)

intake manifoldeither:
Edelbrock torker 1 - the origional( I understand it to be much better than the 2nd model
edelbrock performer 289-302
edelbrock RPM 302

Later with more money:
long tube headers and quietexhaust
2.73- 3.08 ring/gear

Q1. the gt40 heads will fit fine withought mods and stock exhaust right?
Q2. how much better(hp/torque) are the aluminum heads listed above better than the gt40
Q3. as for the intake manifold with or without EGR or does it matter/ is it neccessary?
Q4. what kind of HP/Torque increase can I expect with the above suggestions?
Q5. I do have an air conditioner, but can I usa NON ACserpentine belt for a little more power or does that only apply when the condenser is running?
Q6. the heater box under passenger dash is leaking coolant fluid. can I remove it and cut the hoses altogether
? it is only a summer car and I never use the heat. Because of this the windshield on the inside is sticky and every time it rains or is very humid it fogs up completly. what will clean it off? I have used water, windex, and somthing else I cant remember.

Thank you for your suggestions and help.

1st off, 3.73 gear wouldnt be stock...

Answer 1. The GT-40 heads will bolt on with no problems.

Answer 2. Depends on the cam, intake etc.

Answer 3. EGR will depend on emissions requirements in your area. If you take all the EGR stuff off, save it. That stuff is getting hard to find.

Answer 4. Again, it depends on the cam. 250+ at the wheels with the stock cam should be possible. BIG difference from what the stock 84 engine puts out.

Answer 5. Dont worry about the A/C. Doesn't take much power unless it's running.

Answer 6. Just run a loop of heater hose from the intake to the water pump and bypass the heater core. Windex should get it clean. I like some stuff called invisible glass. works pretty good.

Answer 7. Honestly, the performer would be your best bet on a pretty much stock engine. I port matched mine to the AFR's I have and it pulls to 6000rpm. The RPM and torker are overkill.

with the gt40ps you dont have to get new headers.....just SOME of them wont work. trust me i seen it done more than several times
