Default V-8 Swap Into Notch

Hey guys I'm a new member and i have some serious questions I'd like to ask. Not that it matters but I thought I'd give you a little background about me and cars I punished the pavement with. I'm 22 and a pure mustang junkie(used to hate mustangs till I bought my first!). My first car was an 84 svo with a few mods. Had an 88 Cali car(mass air)Mustang GT with few mods. Had a 95 GT with full trick flow intake, full catless exhaust and few other mods. I currently have 90 notch with no drivetrain that used to be a 4 banger car and its in need of life. Anyways, I wanted to get more involved with building a fox car so I bought the 90 notch with no drivetrain and was hopin i could get some advice from you guys. I wanted to go the 351w route because I've been told that they can handle alot more power than the 302. Ultimately I want to push around 600hp but want to start with a mild setup of around 300+. Also thought about building a mild 302 for now and then building up a 351w on the side. The car had been setup and ran before with a carb'd 302! Is there anything you'd recommend???

Well, for starters I'll just build a 302. I want to build a 300+hp combo so if you guys have any suggestions, I would be glad to hear about them. I was thinking about ported gt-40 or gt-40 p heads with an e-cam, 1.7 roller rockers, edelbrock lower intake, holley carb(cfm?), underdrive pulleys, full lenght tube headers, offroad x-pipe, and miscelaneous things such as plug wires and what not. Any suggestions?

get yourself a good 302, strip it and rebuild it, get a good cam, get some good heads. make sure it has a 8.8, then depending on what trans u put in it, get some gears in the rear end. then u next need a carb, gunna suggest a 670holly. then just go from there, it isnt realy hard to build a 300hp combo with a 302 or 306, just takes money and time.

Yeah the car had an 8.8 swapped into it and i believe it has 3:27 gears. Does anybody know if a 351w roller motor can handle 600 hp? As far as the 302, I want to get 300+hp out of it for now. Is there any specific cams or heads you would recommend? Letter-303 cams, ported gt-40 or p heads?
