Default GT40's on a stock 84' 2V flat tappet

Im currently running a 1984 GT, 5spd, with BBK longtubes, BBK H-pipe, MSD, Smog/AC delete.

Im looking to upgrade to a set of GT40's.

My question is, will the GT40's OR the GT40P's run with my stock motor? Would I use the stock pushrods from the origional heads?

Im essentialy trying to figure out what would be involved. I found a few sets locally on Clist and am interested in this swap. My car currently is roughly 190-200hp at the crank and im looking for a little more without breaking the bank on a set of aluminums.

Any help please?! Any other thoughts on power upgrades on a budget for a daily driver?!

Any responses will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

yes they will work, the p heads will require a special header or at very least a special plug wire configuration to clear header pipes, as for push rods, you can start with stock as a baseline but you should always measure for such
