Default Coil Spring Compressors????

I was wondering about this item i saw for sale at my job, it is called coil spring compressors, it says you can bolt these down onto your coil spring and it will compress the coil springs to give you a lower 1 1/2 to 2in. drop, have you heard anything about this??,

Well yes that is a coilspring compressor, but I dont believe its designed for permanent installation.

Those are usually designed to compress the spring down for installation/removal of the spring, not for dropping the car...

This I KNOW would be dangerous...

Yea i know they have a Spring Compressor which is used for Installation and Removal but this is particular product is a small Spring Compressor which locks two coil springs down, and is designed to keep to springs compressed down at all times, which i thought also could be dangerous like you said, i think they are used mainly on trucks though

Yeah I would stay away from that. At the most, I'd remove a spring isolator, or go with lower springs...

Those things are dangerous as hell. careful if you use them, and yes its just for install and removal.

is it bad to remove the rubber on the top and bottem of the spring?

If i am install steeda lowering sport springs would I need a compressor?
