SUPSENSION SETUP SELECTION HELP NEEDED!
I have been reading for days and would like some help.
I have a 02 GT and I am getting 20" rims.
Not a big deal but would like to know what type of suspension setup I should use for this, coilovers or shocks/struts.The car is only used forleisure and is stored in the winter.
I want the ride to be perfect so what would I need to change or add to the car(CC plates, bumpsteer, alignment kits etc . . . . )
I have been leaning towards the TokicoD-Specs and have not really set my mind on a type of coilover, but have looked at the Eibach Pro Street System S.
What would be the difference between the two other than the obvious.
Also with the D-Specs what spring should I use, keep in mind appearance is a main factor but a nice ride is too.
Thanks boys.

Hopefully I can briefly answer your questions... PM us or e-mail us with more specific questions...
A coil-over kit vs. regular springs/shocks offers major differences. A coil-over kit completely changes the geometry of the suspension, allows height adjustability and is quite a bit more expensive in the end. A standard upgrade with springs, shocks & struts is much easier to install, and is cheaper. I usually tell people "if you dont know you need a coil-over kit, you probably dont".
I would suggest looking at the SuspensionPackages sectionon our website. Many of the kits offer the most popular mods that most Mustang owners upgrade their cars with. Many of the kits include cc plates, bumpsteer kits, bushings etc.
I would also suggest reading our Lowering "How To" article on the front page of our site... it offers alot of info...

Thanks for the info. Didn't quite get the answer I was looking for. The overall quality of ride for me is important and I would like to know if I lower the car and change the shocks and struts with the 20" rim/tire setup, would the tires rub, and if so with how much of a drop would the rub happen.
Thats why I am interested in the coilovers, cause I can change the stance and height with available adjustment.

There is no exact drop that rubbing my occur... there are too many variables.. One variable that is uncontrollable is Fords build tolerances on their cars. There can be alot of variation from car to car, so where one car rubs, the other may not.
Usually the rubbing occurs at the front wheels first, at full lock (u-turns, tight turns etc.). We sell our steering rack limiters http://www.stangsuspension.com/store...idproduct=1333which help prevent rubbing.
Sincerely,
