I still want to know when Cobalts starting trapping 100+?????????????? Most trap mid 90s so I don't see how they are faster than a 99-04 GT which traps high 90s stock.
let it go

They'll do that with MODs, not stock. Mid 90's is best I seen in stock form. But needless to say, with drag radials with would trap 100+, but then the any car would trap higher with drag radials.
See, you'd think that because you're a rookie. But usually they don't trap higher with DR's. 99.99999% of the time, they trap LOWER! Wow...How's that for logic?

You're probably correct since i've never ran a car with radials, but answer this for me then. For example, Say a stock car runs a 14.2 with regular street tires and then gets drag radials and runs a 13.7, how will the trap be lower?[sm=smiley24.gif]

Because you are hooking up. Wheel spin usually= higher trap speeds. For example, I ran 13.45@104 with a 2.1 60ft. I ran the 13.33@103.78 but I had a 2.0 60ft.

200 horsepower is "huge numbers" ??

What has the world come to?

So is the 260 hp at the crank of a Mustang GT "huge numbers?" A stock SRT4 weighs barely 3000 pounds and puts out about 225 WHP. I know Dodge rated them lower, but they are indeed underrated. Look at stock dyno graphs if you don't believe me. But that's not the point. The point is that a stock Mustang GT puts out 245 (ballpark) WHP and an SRT (a few hundred pounds lighter) puts out 225 WHP. To me, that's not a very big difference.

Moral of the story - People do not give other cars/owners respect. If you don't like what someone is saying, ignore it or race them and beat them. Bitching on the Internet about how someone in a turbo four banger is trash-talking your Mustang isn't going to get you anywhere.

Matt
When did I ever say that 260 horsepower to the crank was a big number? Its pathetic, but its better than 200.

BTW tommy, no way in hell a stock coblat will sratch a 13.9. And everything I have seen says they are NOT "solid mid 14 cars". Most are running in the 14.7-14.9 range.

And the mustang GTs usually put down around 225-230 RWHP stock, which is 258.75-264.5 horsepower at the fly.

And who said anything about not respecting SRT-4s?? I never did. I acutally like the SRT-4, but the cobalt is just a SRT-4 wannabe. Its NOT anywhere as easy to mod, and it doesn't run anything like a SRT-4 stock. An SRT-4 would GANG rape a coblat just as bad as a GT. On top of all of this, the coblat is a ugly car with a giant wing. I know chevy/ford/dodge have to do something to pander to all of the young import lovers out there, but chevy and ford are really sucking it up. (the SVT focus sucks too)
