I get the biggest kick out of these people who are telling me and post that there stock cobalt ss or noen srt-4 will walk a 01-04 manual GT in a drag race.The cobalt SS is no no better than a 15 second car let alone 4 cylinders that have to be reved at 6000 rpms just to get em over 200 HP.Any how I just that's pretty hillarious

 

here we go again!!!! ...............however those srt4's are fast cars, but at the end of the day a SRT4 is still a neon and a Cobalt SS is still a cavy

You know nothing. The SRT-4 puts down over 200whp to the ground stock. They run high 13s to low 14s stock. The Cobalt is much slower running mid 14s to low 15s. 99-04 GT and a SRT-4 is a drivers race from a stop and the SRT will win from a roll. This of course being stock for stock. The SRT-4 redlines at 6000 RPM not 6500. Don't make ignorant posts like this. Learn a little bit about the cars first and then start maybe you won't make stupid posts like this one.

 

Also, the GT will own a Cobalt from a Dig but Cobalt wins from a roll, stock for stock. But wtf, who cares? A Cobalt is cheap to Mod. For $1500 i'll have a Slobalt in the high 12's. And thats a 2.8" Pulley, 42.5 pound/hour Fuel Injectors, LSJ Injector Wiring Harness, MAF Translator, Intake, Stage 2 Clutch, Drag Radials and Cat removed. I cant hit 270 whp with this setup. Pretty good for the small amount spent.

 

a kid i know just bought an 05 srt-4, bone stock and we raced a few times from a dig..he spun a bit everytime and i had him byt at least 4 cars everytime til i hit about 60 then he blew by me like it was nothing. those srt-4's are quick in stock form and pretty damn loud!

 

so when you light up the tires in a rear wheel drive car, the back end starts to kick out, what happens on a front wheel drive car?

i agree, that post was really ignorant and uneccessary. a srt-4 will give a 99-04 GT a good run for its money, it runs high 13s to low 14s, which is on par with a GT. from a roll, srt-4s always seem to edge out the GT's. The cobalt SS is a low 15 high 14 sec car. the 99-04 GT will beat it, from a roll or dig, however, the cobalt ss will give the 94-98 GT's a good run. guys like codyss will come on here and try to say the ss and the GT is equal, but there has been no proof of that. so far, on the cobalt forums the cobalt was modded if it kept up the the GT, not stock. but please dont make posts like this man, it just makes you look ignorant than the people like cody
