Redundant SRT tale
And I have no idea about what my times will be personally. I am going off of what my tuner (who is THE leading SRT guru, Aaron of Realtune Performance) said after doing (and driving) my car. I guess the proof will be in the pudding once the track opens up here in WI!!!! I would be happy with mid 12's myself!!!
87 daytona shelby Z...i am building it to just above stock...stock turbo with a MBC...stock IC for now...hard top pipe..performance PCM.."performance" TB...no cat...three inch all the way back...i want to get it up and running again with the stock turbo for now..this is my first forced induction car...i was going to build the turbo myself, but a friend of mine has done several lately, and im going to see him this weekend, and he offered to do it....so what the hell, right? ive been told what it 'could' run with the mods, as i have found someone who had just about the exact same setup...but he had a cat and such and the "test pipe" is supposed to make a BIG difference in spool time and power over that archaic, huge cat...the car is in great shape, except the turbo is blown out and it smokes like a b***h...i got a turbo from someone who said its "fine', but im not going to swp the turbos only to find out that its bad too...
i thought about buying a bigger turbo, like a 16g or even a 20g, but i dont want to get into having to upgrade EVERYTHING right off the bat...

Yeah, a little is a lot with forced induction cars!! Keep me up to date on what you run, it should be interesting. Wanna know the funnest thing about these cars?? The look on peoples faces when you beat them. (it sounds bad considering I am a Mustang guy to, but it is so true) The guy with the Vette I beat looked like he wanted to find the nearest gun store and kill himself. Priceless!!!! People can call it a Neon all they want, it just makes it sweeter come race day, when all of a sudden it becomes an "SRT" vehicle, lol!
i considered getting rid of the RT when i worked for the dodge dealer, but i have leather, and every option, and thats what i wanted for a DD...plus, i would rather not get into new payments with the possibilty of the challenger (or if they chose to price it like a supercar
) and evo...
) and evo...
Hmmm, Challenger. They say it's supposed to be priced at $38,000, with the big Hemi. I realistically don't think they could build enough of them at that price to keep up with demand. Make mine in Sublime Lime with the billboard style paint scheme!!!
That's because the GTO looked like a Grand Am, lol! I don't think it was the price point that killed the GTO, and I don't think the price point will make that big of a difference on the success of the Challenger, unless they get stoopid on the price!
