Redundant SRT tale

Hmmm, Challenger. They say it's supposed to be priced at $38,000, with the big Hemi. I realistically don't think they could build enough of them at that price to keep up with demand. Make mine in Sublime Lime with the billboard style paint scheme!!!

Depends on the kids. There are kids out there that may have used to do it, and have found out in first person the consequences from doing it. IE witnessing deaths or being ticketed out of the *** after being caught.
The ironic thing is if you go to honda-tech, the kills section is almost as busy as the tech sections. But if you scroll over to hondaswap, there's maybe 6 stories in there since the forum was reopened last year.
It's just a matter of what perspective a certain group of import tuners has. I see more domestics racing everyone than I do imports around here... but there are a fair share of domestic and import battles.
I personally just don't like doing it. Trying to prove how fast my car is or isn't just isn't worth mine, the guy I'm racing, or some innocent bystander/motorists life. I quit really 'street racing' in mid 2005 with maybe a few pulls off a light up to the speed limit here and there. I do consider THAT to still be street racing, but it's much less dangerous to pull off a light, up to the limit and just quit than it is to try to drag down Coliseum Blvd doing 20-50 mph over the speed limit like I see people doing.

as you may or may not know, i am fairly active in the "import community"...and i kind of find it odd that SO many "import drivers" are so dead set against street racing...i am by no means arguing with you, but why is it that alot of younger tuners are so agaisnt it? i mean, we have plenty of mustang owners your age/younger who do so...and i even do so from time to time...

normally i would agree, but from a roll.. the SRT4 should have no problem handing a stock GT it's ****. if this race was done from a dig, i would be all NICE KILL. i've seen them SRT4s take off in traffic for no apparent reason, and they can move.

Most of you want admit it, But GT's are capable of Trapping anywhere from 98-102 MPH bone stock (102 - Bullitt) same as the SRT-4's....So it's all about the driver at any speed. I held one off coming down I-90 going through Montana and we were running on topend...I had him all the way up until i shut down at about 145 but he was slowly gaining on me.......
So i wouldn't make it seem like an SRT-4 can whip a GT from a roll every single time......My car Dynoed 8 rwhp more than my brothers GT when they both were stock.....The one i owned was a 2000 Model and his 01 Model done at the same time at the same place just minutes apart. Not all mustangs from the factory are the same or even close for that matter...That's why you have some guys trapping over a 100 and some only trapping 98 or so......

you dont think that the driver has anything to do with that?

Same day, good weather.......When we race the outcome was pretty much the same every time....He was slight quicker 1 and 2nd...I would move ahead in 3rd and that's where we would stay...
Im confused.... the SRT-4 WILL hand a stock gt its *** every time from a roll. really the only hope a stocker has is at the launch and keeping it up during the run, because that srt-4 will catch up eventually. and im willing to bet the srt-4s dont get the better of nanaki very often, those turbonators are gawd!
however, it isnt that hard to take that edge off, and almost all of the srt-4s that ive come across are kids with intakes and exhaust, not too hard to outmod those guys.
