Wow this topic turned into ten different topics......lol

Anyhow i raced two WRX's in the last two weeks,here in LA there's so many of them it looks like they are giving them away for free or something.....Or like in the early 80's what Cadillac did with the Yugo's ...Buy a Cadillac get a Yugo free! LOL!Now i see why my Country is so F**** UP!

So the first encounter i had was with a white WRX two guys in the car,the W looked nice i kinda like them,they looked at me and when it turned green we both jumped,i had approx. 3-4 cars on him....

The second time it was this older guy in this blue WRx looked brand new,he was behind me for a while and finally we came to a red light but he still stayed behind me because another car just pulled up next to me....
I knew he wanted to go because he was letting his car slide back and forth all the time so once the light turned green i flored it and so did he.....again it was the same story had a few car lenghts on him.....

I gotta admit doe that i love the WRX's more and more and the Evo's too....i would love to own one,great cars for the money,and with the potential of a turbo u better be carefull ot there.....

turbos are cool. name one mod on a 5.0 that will let you pick up 70 ft-lbs for $750 or less (plus tax), not hurt fuel economy while cruising, and doesn't affect driveability at all, and can't be detected by the dealer.

 

if the dealer cant see the turbo when they do a service then uh they arent doin the service are they? Or is there some other mod , wait a min, turbos are only $750? Bro what you talkin about anyway?

 

I'm talking about my Jetta turbo. Cars that come with turbos from the factory are STUPID easy to get more power out of. The Jetta for example, $500 and 15 minutes of your time will net you +30hp and +70ft-lbs. It's all just timing, fuel, and boost changes made through the ECU. Not one physical mod. I opted for the dual-map flash so I can, via the cruise control buttons, switch between stock and performance MAPs. Lock it in stock mode and the dealer can't tell that the other one is there, nor can they overwrite it. My Subaru I put a ~$300 CAI, $310 header, $400 high flow cat, $400 cat-back, and a $200 underdrive pulley on, and it didn't pick up more than maybe 10-15hp based on the ol' butt dyno. It sure sounded cool, but it didn't go a heck of a lot faster.
