I went to the gainesville drag strip this past wednesday night. They have a test and tune that people can come watch or run their cars on. A friend followed me. She owns a 2006 RSX non type-s. Pretty quick little car for a 4 cyl. On the way back from the track that night on an open stretch of highway we were cruising at about 65-70. I knew she was going to try and pull on me cause she had some friends with her.

She jumped out on me and tried a pull. When I realized she was moving pretty good i grabbed third and pulled all the way through 4th and let out. She tried this twice and both times I was able to pull her out. ok yeah yeah I know.. it was a chick.. but she and her dad both have racing licenses for SCCA and they road race a porsche 914 6 cyl.

Had to share the story with you guys since she was talking some stuff about being able to pull on me..

what did it run? i think that the type-S is only good for 15s...

That SUCKS!!! I thought the base model RSX that I beat was a big deal or something... Goddamnit![>:]

 

he raced the base rsx, which is only at 160 hp and like 10 ft lbs of tq. yeah more on par with our 99-04 v6's. a gt should MURDER a base rsx. good kill

 

Ya rsxs arent too fast in a strait line but they are great cars. Shouldnt be a problem for most stangs.

 

ive seen some type-s models with very little done, and gutted out interior, get into the high 14s...but without NAAAWWWZZZ a base model isnt going to get it done...

i dont think that a stock base model would even keep up with a 99-04 sixer.
