I am heading out to the track for the first time EVER here in the next few weeks. SO I would rather have one than get up there and need and not have it. I am going to do the dyno and runs with the mods i have now and then some runs and dyno after i get my cams, gears and nitrous.

NHRA and Ihra rulles for helmet is 12.99 (1/4) or 8.49 (1/8th) If you like the open face helmets, jegs usually is always clearing out the left over helmets because every year the 2 associations up the ante on safety gear. But if you're not in a full competition thing, then most if any track will mess with you as long as you have a decent, serviceable helmet. Jegs sells the G-force helmets for @ $90 or sometimes cheaper. Full face are more expensive.

If you go to a track that has alot of competition racers, most racers will have an extra rulebook to give you. Otherwise you have to join the association to get one.
