i raced a 05/06 v6, from a 3rd gear roll, all through third and some of fourth, and he was at my rear bumper the whole time basically. what the hell? it was white, v6 front end, single exhaust, blue racing stripes.. nothing too fancy, no mods im pretty sure!

are they fast? im a low 14 car, if it were the gt.. id understand.

hell i raced a 95 v6 the same day, same scenario, and had 10 cars on him.

 

V6 mustangs are in the 15's.. i have been driving one daily recently and its a major turd. i think most trucks and honda civics can keep up with it... or even beat it... hahaha. the one i drive is auto though...

 

i suppose maybe they just happen to pull thir best at that speed? where mine likes it outta the hole.

 

one tried a fly by on me the other day , i was going about 40 and he was comming up quick next to me and right when he was next to me prob doing about 60 or so i punched it. His rear bumper was at my front bumper and that was as far as he got, i then proceeded to put about 4 or 5 cars on him, went fom a dig just for the hell of it and put football fields on him. I think your right man that thing did seem like a turd

 

I had a 95 Mustang 3.8 auto and it was a turd. Only rated for about 150 horses.
Thought it was cool back then though lol

 

From the factory the SN95s make me want to vomit, adn the Edge/SN197 are OK. Not too bad, but WAY too economized for their own good. Great engine for F/I though. They are dogs on the top end, they NEED their pwoerband to run anywhere near decent times stock, but 90% of Hondas and pickups can't take the '99+ models. Good kill, although it was a six shooter[8D]

Also, if it was one of the new GTs, he would have taken you. Sorry, but its true.

 

i believe he said it was an 05/06, and if it was i gotta tell ya they arent all that slow. my gf has a 05 auto v6 and i can punch it at a stop and it will smoke the tires all the way down the street!! i couldnt believe it. so IMO it could be possible.

 

how do you figure if it was a gt hed of taken me?? i run just as fast as them, and drive better than most owners of that gen i see around. i dont know maybe it was modded, or maybe he had a big run at me (never noticed)

 

the 05 v6s are on par performance wise wit a fox body 5.0. well, stock that is. a 05 v6 is capable of running high 14's. the 95 u raced was a turd, they run like 19's in the quarter or something like that... you probably ran against a modded one.

 

What mods do you have DCmann? I know most stock foxes run high 14's at best, and depending on your mods, a modded 05/06 v6 could run pretty close with you.
