Track Tricks
I read some of the stickies at the top and got some good info for going to the track. Anyone have any other helpful tips for me? A few of the mustang guys take off their headlight to get more air in, is this a ricer trick or does it actually work. Also i dont have DR's yet so im running on a pair of stock street tires off an 04 Mach 1, in other words stock tires. Should i let some air out to Hook better? what PSI should i run at? Any other advice is welcome thanks guys
STAY OUT OF THE WATER, I can't stress that enough. I would only drop down to about 25-28 psi in the tires. Personally I don't think the head light thing does anything. Also don't do a big burn out on the stock tires, only do enough to clean the tires off.
Thanks alot JD,first time i went there i went right through the water, and it resulted in a 3.4 60ft time
. Do you think letting a little pressure out of the tire will help at all or is it even worth my trouble?

You can let some out. The stiffer sidewall on street tires makes them more prone to spinning. The lower pressure will give you a little more patch.
I tried the headlight removal and it didn't do anything. I'm by no means fast but all passes that day were right on spot with previous trips.
