Has anyone seen the new motor trend. They have 5 cars to compare to the new ZO6 and all except the ZO6 are modded. Well long stroy short there was a 840hp( i think thats right) 06' mustang. They had it running 12.9 in the 1/4 mile. I was lmao when I saw this. They compared it to a 06' gt 13.5 and the 800+ hp car at 12.9 a whole .6 better in the 1/4. WOW 500 more hp and only a .6 better time. Though I never read motor trend I want ever read it again after this.

I thought the Mustang only had like 550hp...can't remember for sure. I seen the article though. They still rated the ZO6 as basically the best car, especially for the money. The Hennesey Viper and TT LPE Vette dominated mostly every category though.

I looked at it really briefly, all of the cars were some crappy times for the HUGE freaking loads of money put into them.

one of them had like, over 100K into it didnt it?

The only reason the mustang ran a 12.9 was because it blew a gasket or some such part and was leaking oil, this happened 2/3's into its 1/4 mi. run. And it still ran a 12.9. So, they def. should have retested it, but they did not. Still stupid that they gave that GTO better rating than the stang. And I think it was 600 rwhp.

I stopped reading MT after the "What If" with the Camaro concept and the S197 Stangs. Lost all respect/interest for that magazine after that article.

WTF is the law of Deminishing Return? Never heard of it. I've done a few reports on Einstien's laws of duality, and some college experts are actually trying to prove Murphy's Law, Too bad they cant. I'm gonna go Wiki this "law" real quick-like, I'm intrigued, haha[8D]
