The worst ones of all are the ones that just think they have that natural hearing that can determine the decibel level on your exhaust and pull you over and say "its too loud. There is a certain threshold of loudness which is determined by each state. So any cop that pulls you over and does'nt have a audometer to back up his claim is full of ****!!!
This was another incident in my 95 Z28 with my two chamber Flows. fkn bastard gave me a fix-it ticket for it and to top it all off I purchased this vehicle used from a Chevy dealership as is. I felt I was doublecrossed by the dealer for selling me car with an illegal exhaust. Anyhow I contacted Flowmaster and they faxed me a ton of liturature on penal codes on aftermarket exhausts. I fought in in court and I came away the VICTORIOUS!!!!

lol, they are so ignorant, they see something then just assume, they just dont know all of the law. Or they just arnt getting any from the wife so they take it out on others and just pull over anybody for anything. Its amazing how I get a ticket for nothing but days before that a drunk kid in the parking lot does a burnout and gets off with a warning.

I don't know what the laws are in Florida, but here in California many dealerships are selling some of their new trucks with aftermarket exhausts such as California Concepts F150's and Stangs. Hell even Rouche Stang has an aftermarket exhaust. As long as you have a cat and mufflers you should be cool. I do know that glass packs are Illegal though.

good to know that. Another cop that didnt write any tickets said we were lucky not to get any for exhaust. He said everything but stock is illegal in the state of florida. He said technically any modification is illegal and you could get a ticket for it.

haha nice plates civic...but i don't see how they can give tickets for having a loud exhaust when people are driving their harley's which are OBNOXIOUSLY LOUD compared to most cars.... (my uncle said cuz that guy is probably 40 years old and ur 16) <------Thats still BS in my opinion tho!......

God no offense to anyone thats a cop, but I HATE cops. There this little hick town down the road from me. They're only income is the tickets their cops write for pulling people over lol. I got pulled over one time for not wearing my seatbelt. Funny part was that I was, in reality, wearing my seatbelt. And I had 3 witnesses in my car that know i was. Haha. The guy was just like "Oh, okay then." A**hole.

Yep, my brother says the only 2 speeding tickets he's written in his 7 years on the force are the 2 he had to write to qualify with the radar gun, lol. He said the only time he ever pulled anyone over for speeding was a Lambo doing over 100, and you know his district, by the time they had everything sorted out they didn't even have to address his speeding, lol!!!
