wow im glad to see everyone has sooo much confidence in me and my car...... lol idc tho, ill race him on my fourwheeler in the 1/8th and prolly beat him... im not ashamed to lose to a newer mustang with an x-pipe and catback when im an unexperienced driver
Eh, maybe I'm just used to the new stuff. I thought all auto's, unless vacum controlled or manual valvebody, shifted by a computer.
Earlier stuff uses servos, springs, and control valves all mechanically controlled to determine when to shift and the suddeness of the shift. Without the correct servos and valve body springs they may shift earlier than you want and have slow shift. Manual shifting will hold the gears longer but will not help the shifting lag.
98ls1 I will say that mustang auto's are nowhere near the 4l60e's, which I know are useless to manually shift.
However I still say just put it in D and leave it alone.
