Anything happen with this yet? This is the second post you wrote about this Supra parked across the street from you in some flee bag motel parking lot. If it makes 15 psi and has cams and gears, it sounds like an 11.20 to 11.50 car. It will make most of it's power low mid to high mid end. I think you can take him up top. Your making the same power as me. It will be close. I once ran a Supra making 16psi from a 50 mph roll. I overcame him at 90 mph. He gave up at 120mph -- I had 2 cars on him at that point.
I bet my money on you if it is a fair race. You are an experience driver and that will give you and edge. What ever you do, don't race him from a run (allowing him hit on the throttle 2 cars behind you and build up momentum before you can react). He will torch you.
Do you have an Anderson Power Pipe? If not, get one. They are cheap $249 and will give you at least 1 to 1 1/2 psi -- 12 to 18 whp.

Does anyone know what a supra making 15/16 PSI on a single with a pretty good front mount intercooler and full exhaust (stock engine w/ cam gears) should make horsepower wise? 1/4 mile time?
Its my neighboors car, I just talked to him for the second time today. The car seems pretty bad ***, and he seems like a cool guy. I asked him to take me for a ride sometime, but I would really like to do a little video racing. Only thing is, I don't want to if its gonna be a total rape, I dunno if I could take it

You are purposely looking to put me down to make yourself feel good. Build up your poor self esteem at someone else's expense.

What are you talking about? I wrote posts about racing a Viper and Hemi Cuda and I lost both races.

Supra is a dyno queen. They can make 1000000 horsepower and still do the 1/4 in 15sec. It is crazy. Everyone is always on the Supras nuts. they are cool, but i imagine you will kick his ***.
About his ECU being messed up...typical ricer excuse. Uh, I think my ECU has a virus, or my clutch is slippin. Tell him to man up and run you.
"supras with 10,000,000,000 hp run 15s" is a myth...
no offense to anyone here, but people that say that dont spend enough time at the track, and have never seen a well tuned, well built supra on a drag strip...STOCK MKIV supras, with an atx, are good for low 14s...high 13s with an mtx. ive seen a single turbo, built supra drive into a track, with yokohamas, run in the 9s, and drive out...ive also seen several of them in the high 7s, also on street tires.
and considering how many "550-650 hp" cars we have here that dont have any track time, or run in the 12s...i dont think that anyone should be making dyno queen comments...

A 2JZGTE with a single turbo swap @15 psi with cam gears and "full" exhaust will only put down at the most around 420~ hp. A fully BPU upgraded twin turbo supra with boost controller and some type of piggyback or standalone computer will MAYBE put down 460-480 (running 15 pounds)
Sounds as if the car has a turbo kit on a 2JZGE (NA). The cams have a bit more lift and duration, so a turbo kit's power is amplified a bit. If it's a T56 or T66 turbo (biggest you can go without running injectors and some serious tuning), it's gonna LAG, but it'll still only have traction problems through the bottom of 2nd gear. Yes a twin turbo setup is good up until the mid 700's, then a single turbo is usually the way to go.
Supras aren't dyno queens, Yes there are cars out there with Y2K turbos that don't spool until 4300 rpm, and yes they're pretty much only good for the dyno. Look at Titan Motorsports Supra. 7.83 making 1128 horsepower running BFG drag radials, and it has power throughout the RPM range.
I've built 7 supras in the last 4 years, ranging from a streetable 435 horsepower in a 91 MK3 supra to 1452 horsepower in a "street driven" 97 supra.
If this guy's supra is factory weight with a single @15 (650 hp aside), probably a mid to high 13, if he's running something REALLY sticky.

My friends supra ran 8.2 on low boost, auto and with him baby it off the line. He was on street tires, huge rims and still ripped off a good time. A 8.2 on the 1/8th is 12 second car.....considering its a turbo it's probably a 12.7ish. And this is an auto and his first time racing ever.
Have no idea what year this car was but it was by looks late 90's w/ a turbo don't even know what psi he was pushin but he ran against me last night an ran a 13.612 an i ran 14.430! if that helps his 1/8 was 8.962 mine was 9.515
