Yes a 2003 Z06. The Z06 Corvette hit the market in 2001 with a 385hp LS6 engine. In 2002 they bumped the Ls6 up to 405hp. Now the C6 Z06 has the LS7 engine with 505hp. It keeps getting better and better.....

since no one answered, the C5-R is basically the C5 built for major road racing, like the 24 hours of lemans and stuff like that.... but it had a motor similar to the new z06 actually, cus it was a 427 based on a small block.... they had like incredible win records, nothing could beat them for a while..

Actually, your friend should buy your OLD z06 so you can spank your former car with your new one =p
Yeah that would be fun too. I haven't heard any Z06 vs Z06 stories yet...
he should race my stepdads 06 ZO6 that would be a good z06 vs zo6 story

i believe they had an ls1 with ls6 heads and a slightly more aggressive cam, in addition to intake/exhaust being slightly different, but i could be a little off.

Sleeper is right but I will add on...The LS6 block in comparisson to the LS1 has higher-compression cylinder heads. (10.5:1/405hp vs. 10.1:1/350hp on the LS1) The LS6 also has improved porting which allows a larger volume of air smoothly into the combustion chambers. The LS6 heads are equipped with stronger valve springs to handle higher rpms, and larger fuel injectors to provide a healthier shot of fuel. Also for weight savings and exhaust gas backpressure, the Z06's has a less-restrictive titanium exhaust system. There are no automatics or convertables Z06 available.
