they are pretty quick for what it is. I think they are mid to low 13 second cars.

Yeah, I recently raced one on the highway. An old man wearing a beenie cap and smoking a cigar was driving the CTS-V. He looked something like the Penguin on Bat Man -- but not quite. I was going about 75 at the time on the Long Island Expressway going toward the Mid Town Tunnel which goes into NYC. Out of no where, the old man ran up on my bumper. I looked in the rear view mirror and he was puffing away on a fat cigar. He then floored it. The engine was not loud but did sound robust. It lunged out with authority and moved passed me surprisingly well. I never expected acceleration as that out of that type car. Only a supercharged engine can run like that up top. I mean, It passed me so easily. Of course, I went after him but he was already out there a good way. I made up some ground on him but begrudgingly. Never did quite catch up -- but no doubt was moving up on him. I broke off near the last exit before the tunnel.

Never thought I'd see a Caddy run like that. So much power. All that comfort. I Never thought high HP and a soft, cushy suspension would mix. But they I guess they do. I don't know much about the CTS-V but I will tell you this: it ran like it had 400 to the wheels. No question.

yea... ive heard there pretty crazy.... theyve got a 469 hp STS-V and a 440 hp XLR-V too..... both post about the same numbers as the CTS-V, maybe a little quicker..... i think Cadillac hit the nail on the head with these cars.... ive heard the '07 Escalades with the 403 hp 6.2 (?) liter engine haul pretty well for an SUV....
