we rented an 06 escalade and it hauled ***.. litteraly

you could watch the front end lift at full throttle

must have had atleast 400+ ft/lbs torque

that thing moved
ahahha...a stock escalade hauling ***? It's wayy too heavy to be fast....what kinda car do you drive?
next time dont talk unless u know what ur even talking about

this is a mustang forum so obviously i drive a mustang.. dosnt take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.. wats the matter u dont like ur fellow maro owners over at ls1tech.com? its ok we all know 99% of them are yuppy @ssholes
aaahahhaha...me not talk unless I klnow what i'm talking about?? Don't make me start pasteing quotes in here from all your BS knowledge of cars....mr.7004r and all c5's have a ls2. So get your **** straight.....and not everyone has a stang on this site bro. Not everyone has a f-bod on the LS sites....not everyone has a srt on their site. It's called car enthusiasts....doesn't mean you have to own one.

AND MAYBE IF YOUR USER NAME WASN'T LOOKINFORASTANG I WOULDN'T HAVE ASKED WHAT CAR YOU OWN SMART GUY

dude hes saying for an SUV it hauls ***, in which it does..... it might weigh 5500 lbs. but it still runs 0-60 in the upper sixes which is DAMN good for a full size SUV.... and if that too heavy, then how does a 4900lb chevy trailblazer SS run mid 14's with 400 hp?
You answered your own question...the SS has the same power and weighs 600+ less. Hell even a dodge 1500 quad cab 4x4 weighs less at 5300...

I try to help out on this site with repair questions when I can...but i'm not going to try and give advice to someone unless I know i'm right. The last thing I want is someones car getting jacked up because it's different then the cars I work on. If I didn't like stangs I wouldn't be on the site typing this right now...

Anyway back to the thread starters topic...sorry about the hijack

Unless you are driving something considerably more substantial than the 5.0 Fox in your sig, you really cannot refer to anything with an LS1 as "crap." Sorry, try again.

awww dont cry, tommy.

not many other $1800 cars can contend with the 5.0 in my sig

ironicaly the only cars that can - and fit in that price range... are other mustangs!

obviously a 2002 camaro that retailed for over 20 grand is going to be faster.

once again comparing apples to oranges

If you were to compare the prices of a new 5.0 and a new '02 Z28 and adjust for inflation, the Mustang would probably cost as much.

I believe MT ran a 13.2 1/4 in a CTS-v. They also commented at length about how well the car handled. It easily outhandled the GTO and 300C SRT8 in a comparison test.[8D]

Too bad it's ugly as sin...[:'(]
