Ok WTF am I doing wrong.
GOBLUE 48044: I listed a ton of reasons why you're not running the times you should, but let me state this again: WEATHER, WEATHER, WEATHER!!!
You are NEVER going to run great times in 94 degree weather with 100% humidity! Period!
Wait until temperatures drop into the low 60's (or cooler) with humidity at 50% or lower and go back to the track. With no other changes, you will see your times drop by several tenths.
As far as mods go, you really need some Mickey Thompson's to go with those 4.10 gears. That should get you a couple of tenths right there. You could also consider headers, a hi-flow x-pipe, MSD ignition, maybe even a new MAF and a better throttle-body. However, bolt-on's will only take you so far. If you are serious about going fast you are going to need to consider cams, heads (if they are available yet), nitrous or a supercharger, and a good dynotune from a reputable tuner.
But the low 13's you seem to be looking for should be attainable with only DR's and much better weather...

Personally I think his 60 foots are pretty good considering the tire he's on. As others have stated the weather is whats killing you. I also tend to assume that anyone who bothers to go to the track at least has a drag radial, it should be the first mod you do to the car IMO.
hey dont feel bad bro last night at stanton it was 85 and a 05 gt with 100 shot ran a 13.10 I was mad my car I was hoping for 12.00 or 11.90 ran 12.90 so I think the temp in mi has alot to do with it
Thanks for the advice. The wheels that came with my car were 17' with pirreli pnereo zero's.But I switched to the 18 inch deep dish bullit rims.Discount tire stuck some p6 pirreli's on them more of an all season tire.Which on the surrface sounded like a good idea here in Michigan God know's we get all kinds of seasons here.I'm probably going to find some nitto's bfgdrnch or Mickey's next.Wait until it cools down here a little before running it again at the track.
Macomb Twp. up M53 (Van Dyke express way) To 69 to Wilder. It took me almost 2 hours from Waterford to get to Milan on Wed. US23 and M14 all a mess. Are you in the Detroit area?Oh and where is Norwalk you were talking about? Thx
i also live in macomb...norwalk is also about two hours..i believe that from my driveway to norwalk raceway park in ohio, its like 121 miles..but norwalk is VERY nice..well prepped, and pretty quick.
LOL small world.Do you have Lidio from alternative auto do your work?I think He mentioned somthing about a big race down in Norwalk. But I didn't know where it was.Is it nicer than Milan?
