Applying pressure ot the brakes affects all 4 brakes... but the front brakes are designed to apply more force than the rear brakes and do most of the work when slowing a car. So when you do a burnout, while it probably isnt the best thing for your rear brakes, there usually shouldnt be a problem with doing any damage to them.
