That old dude seems like he was cool. But I don't see the humor.

The humor was the guys mouth was hanging wide open and he just kept going "wow.....just....wow....".

I was expecting him to either completely ignore me or say 'nice driving ya jackass'. [8D]

Nice story Dan. Do you still only come out at night? LOL! J/K Your story reminded me of a run in I had with a modded Fox body Mustang. Couldn't tell the year but could clearly see the car was set up for drag racing and looked beautiful. We got a couple of runs going from a roll. No lights. Poor guy hit the rev limiter on each run. When he pulled up next to me I realized he was an older guy. He cracked me up when he said, "That's what happens when you only drive it on Sunday". He was really cool though.

I haven't had much trouble with the people I come across in my Cobra. Have only met a few Stang owners as a result of it. Had a chick in a Stang look over and call my car hot once. The guy at my local Dunkin Do Nuts has a V6 Mustang and loves my Cobra. He even gives me discounts. He likes it when I pull out of the parking lot and nail it.

Hey AirborneCZ. As far as burnouts being popular it has to do with the Muscle car being born here in the US. We've been in love with HP for years and gas for a very long was was cheap so no one cared that their car only got 10 mpg. European cars are so much different then American cars.
