Hey guys, Just coming over from the redline forums here, not trolling, just to say a thing or two...
Personally i too doubt beating 2005 or newer mustang GT's, unless the driver is a complete tool.
I have beaten a couple 2000-2004 mustang GT's myself, on the street, from roll's usually from 2'nd gear going like 60 KM/H which is just a dirty speed for the redline to start from, advantage redline right off the bat. I dont know the exact year of them as I never really had a thing for those years of mustangs so i never learned. point being there that yea it happens. That being said i've also been beaten by 2 or 3 mustangs as well. newer ones, none older then 97, anything before that and they are basicailly decimated once we are up to speed. there arent any modified ones older then that around here, if they are they are trailer queens. Total props to the mustang, As i previously was an owner of a '92 LX 5.0 Auto before i got the redline (351w swap anyone?) never did get that one to the track though. Currently my redline is capable of running 14.2's if i got my reaction time down, and thats with 300 bucks into the motor, It's pretty impressive in my eyes, even from a land of cheap horsepower.

What i'm trying to say is, we all have cars that have lots of untapped potential, and depending on the mods, or the stupidity of the driver in whichever car, mustangs will be beaten by econobox blown 4's, and redline's will be beaten by the ponies.

Couple things for you guys to know as well (interesting knowledge, might make you respect the redlines a bit more)
Same motor as the Cobalt SS, 2.0l Ecotech, with changing of the pistons, possibly even without, (no other internals, rods etc.)can be built to approx 400 HP.
not saying we all have that, or ever will, it'd take effort and tech, but its a stout powerplant.

..... oh and LittleMT's neon would eat you alive. not a dig... just my humble opinion.
Kisses MT.
Lucy's car really isn't set up for the 1/4 mile, it has lots of traction problems I think the last numbers I saw were mid 12's at some rediculous speed (like >130). Get her on the HWY though, and watch out!!!! (please correct me if I am wrong Bop)

I have yet to run the car at the new power levels. I can only say that it will destroy what it used to be.

My car has also been lightened, making the hp/tq numbers it now has even more meaningful, it is setup for quartermile racing, with some simple stuff such as Psi-Fi LCA bushingsm stiffer springs and a custom rear suspension
lockout device which prevents rear end squat and keeps all the power on the front wheels.

Here is a old run from several years back when the car was at a mere 480hp, the DA was a terrible 7500ft on this day, at this point in SRT history so to speak, this car was the third highest hp car in the Country and wound up with the 3rd highest trap in the Country behind Dynoworks Dave and Steve Anderson, a remarkable feat considering we used the small 50 trim.... Which was short lived as many since then have ran faster, but again, if I could race the old 50 trim setup with the new GT35R setup at full boost, I would rout what it used to be. The GT35R on full boost is very violent and very very powerful, it doesn't run out of steam like the 50trim did, it pulls strong and hard all the way up to redline.

Figure this, if the car went 11.85 at a DA of 7500ft and managed some buck twenty five traps, what would it do at say sea level with now having over 150 more wheel hp which doesn't drop off at redline, and a car that is also lighter
then what it was. This car would easily lower its ET and pick up some very strong trap speed at a lower elevation, as again, it is a tremendous difference from what it once was, to what it is now. The GT35R hits and hits hard, transforming the car
into a runaway freight train. 35psi on this race engine is a huge step up from its old 50 trim stock engine setup.

I recently got into a race with my very own car which was being driven by somebody else, as I was driving my 2006 303hp Monte SS, and it was simply mind boggling at how fast the Red car just pulled away from me.

I know about the GT35R, it's what's in my car to, lol!!! Just hit 480@25lbs, lots of tuning left to do. I was POed you didn't come to the SRT Nats, I was hoping you could give me some pointers. Although without you there, my car was the fastest SRT!!!!

Then you know daddy-o how violent the boost hits from that dual BB turbo which just loves C16 fuel.
I don't know if you have felt 35psi yet from it, doesn't sound like you have, but when you do you will simply be amazed on how much the 35R wakes up in the mid 35 psi range. Heck this turbo impresses me at 17 psi were we made 417hp..

at 35 psi it is simply incredible and hard to describe and simply must be experienced, as I am sure you will very soon my friend...

Big Boost from the 35R and a engine that can support it is a force to be recogned with....

I want to hear back from you either here or on SRT forums when you crank her up, 25 psi is very nice, 35 psi is devastating!

FWD hurts, this car made its ET and Trap on the big end of the track. I for one thing was running to small of a slick some 24.5's 15 inch tires....

This car now easily outraps 125mph....
