Besides I'm sure everyone will agree thats its alot easier to kill a pre-05 GT and an F-Body
, thats why all the us[8D] ricers[sm=laughat.gif] tend to race Stangs[8D]...

Take it as a complment!!!! People want to outrun mustangs because the've been kicking *** sinse the 60's! And if the haters are talking about your car you know you have something good!

I really have no desire to race other mustangs, other than 05+ sotck/stock they are behind the times imho. THe prey of choice for me are the LS1 based cars (C5's,F-bods,GTO's) But as it sits I can only play with stock/bolton(in case of GTO) cars 
I just think taht ppl gun for the LS1 WAY MORE than the mustang (well, people that know cars)

the mustang is an american icon. not sure y everyone is gunning for the stang's. sure, its had its bad years *cough mustang 2, 96-98* but its still one of the most badass musclecars out there.

93-02' were the bad years imho. as those were the years in which a comparably priced GM counterpart never feel below a 50 hp advantage over the 'stang while matching its fuel mileage (for all you "it had a bigger motor" whiners).

Is it just me, or could you make a sound argument that Mustangs are either the most, or one of the most hated cars in existence? From all of the random threads and trolls we get, I get the feeling like ANYONE who has a car that isnt SLOW is out looking to kill Mustangs.
I know that alot of them make the argument that for a domestic V8, the power output is way too low, but we all know that 94-98 GT's are greatly responsible for this overshadowing feeling by other car groups everywhere.

Like people have said. They are an icon. Despite the fact that the Camaro/Firebird/TA passed them performance wise, stock, they are still here. I've been out to Moroso a number of times and have always seen way more Mustangs then anything else. Hell the announcer even joked about it when I was there. In my area it's probably because they are cheap and easy to come by.
