I'm gettin off a ramp that leads to the highway and I c this guy behind me a few cars with the LED washer lights so I"m goin about 65 and I c him coming up tryin to do a flyby on me so right when he's nose to nose with me I down shift into third and for a moment his nose was a foot infront on mine and then at redline we were even shift into 4th and put about 3 cars on him and then shut down a lil over 120 and the idiot still does a flyby on me!

we come to some lights and I give the guy a thumbs up and ask him what he gots in there and he's like such and such CAI and something else and also says he has nitrous but he wasnt sprayin it....

the funny thing is that his car sounded like it had a turbo in it the whole time cuz I kept on hearin this whisping sound as if air was blowing through something what do u think that sound was???...cuz the guy's car was puttin up a good fight from a role 2 just have a few bolt ons....

but when we were at that light and when it went green we were both goin about 15mph until traffic up ahead cleared then he hit it I did the same and I put about 4-5 carlengths on him (my car does much better from a low role w/ the gears) and he did the flyby again and all the time I kept on hearin that WHISP sound..

 

Probably an intake. I have a hybrid intake on my Nissan and it's loud as ****. New Eclipses are ****. I was messing around with one one day with the gf with me, the guy had a friend with him. He actually stuck his hand out the window and tapped on his roof. I proceeded to embarass his *** in my Maxima.....I laughed, the gf laughed, hell, I think his friend laughed. He had to be a 4 banger though, I would think that the 6's would be decently quick. Not new GT quick by any means, but decent.

 

that suckin noise COULD be the CAI
mine makes a loud suckin noise when i step on it too
sounds cool
cant hear it when the windows are down from iniside the car, or it may be just very faint.

 

My Si makes a beautiful sucking sound at WOT, until around 5500 rpm you can hear it plain as day.

New Eclipses aren't much competition for me either. Good kill, especially because of the washer LEDs...i would be fine if you guys called this guy a ricer, just don't generalize.

 

turbo woosh is quite distinct...its like...wow...cant describe it...but you'd know...i think...maybe i just say that cause i can hear mine...but its like obvious windows down radio up at wot.

 

do u think he was sprayin thou?...cuz he said he wasnt but I dont think he could have kept up w/ me at first like that with just a couple of boltons (besides the fact that he was flyin up on me goin at least 10-15mph tryin to do a flyby)

 

depends if he had the 200hp v6 or the ~140 hp 4 pot. either way, with gas prices like they are now i wouldnt have bothered. mustang>>>>>01 eclipse!
