Yea, I raced my girlfriends ex ... He has a 198x Oldsmobile. It's been wrecked in the front and the back, but we raced anyway 
...
He had about a 5 car lead on me before we started, then I saw him take off ... So I took off! within 10 seconds I was WAAAAAAY ahead of him, we are talking 5 - 10 BUSLENGTHS and I cut it at 120. The next race I was doing 50, trying to slow down from 120 and he slowly caught up and tried to pull a fly-by ... Well, we were in a no-flyby zone, so he was doing I guess 70 and I was doing 50, he got on the side of us, I floored it to 100 and stopped. Then he tried another flyby and I took off, won ... Easily
I'm not bragging, I just thought it was a funny story!
Btw, yes I drive a V6, so all you V8 owners there is no reason to tell me my car is a POS...
