Default VHT Trackbite

Anyone ever try applying VHT Trackbite on their tires in the burnout area? If so how did it work?

never applied it to the tires. but was at some tracks where they sprayed the 1/8 mile with it and wow. not in the stang but in the pops nova we can pull the wheels about 8-10 inches and the 60 foot is about 1.67 i want to say. when we went to a track 2 weekends ago he tried launching at the same and up in smoke and i think the 60 foot was about 1.9 when they spray the track it is a dead hook no spin what so ever. dont know about sprayin on tires tho

They actually tell you on the jug that you can apply it by spraying directly to your tires or by pouring out a small puddle in front of your rear tires and doing a short burnout in it. I ordered some from Jegs and am going to give it a try. I have a supercharged 05 that will not hook up on BFG drag radials. Am planning to buy some ET Streets or Hoosier drag radials but neither one comes in an 18" size yet. Mickey Thompson is supposed to come out with an 18" sometime later this year.

FYI - Nitto's NT555R drag radials come in 18's, and the're a pretty good drag and street tire.

You should work on your suspension a little more because those BFG drag's you have are an excellent tire.

Check your track rules. If your running a street class or modified-type class, most tracks will not allow a crew member past the staging lanes. Only Super Pro and some of the other pro classes are allowed a crew member (or two) into the box and starting line area. This will prevent someone from putting down VHT for you (after your burnout in front of the water box you would put down a small amount of VHT and do a short "dry hop" in the VHT).

Also, some tracks spray VHT with a garden-type sprayer at the starting area and do not allow additional application.

Thanks for the advice guys. There are 2 tracks here in the Phoenix area. Firebird told me to apply the VHT 3 hours prior to coming to the track to let it soak in, Speedworld said they do allow you to apply additional VHT to your tires in the burnout area as long as you don't take too long. Dan, which suspension parts in particular would I need to replace? Is it just the upper and lower control arms? It seems like everyone who has ever had a set of MT ET Streets says there is no comparison to BFG's or Nitto's. Is there anyone who has had both and can compare them?

MT ET street and BFG Drs are very close with an edge to the MTs in my opinion. I have no experience with the BFG and I'm going off fellow racer's comments and from watching cars with them. I have MTs on my 85 and they are excellent. I have Nittos on my 92 lx and they are ok, but a distant 3rd of the 3 you mention.
