Nobody does this in the real world, it's a TV only thing.

rarely is it just 1 guy but i have seen some episodes that are 1v1

 

I had a guy ask me at a light if I wanted to race his srt-4 for pinks once. I told him no because: 1. If he was really willing to race for pinks, he probably had like a stage 3 turbo or some other upgrade where he knew he would totally own me. 2. Even if I won, what are the odds this random stranger is just gonna give me his car? Doesn't make any sense to me

 

I personally would never do that because most of the time people cheat at it. I have seen cars with nitrous bottles inside the passenger seat, inside the dash with the lines passing thru the electrical line cluster and feeding on a bottom corner of the throttle body really really undetectable. Not to mention if you watch pinks 70% of the times the guys dont have ***** and start to sand bag. I would race for pinks only if there was like something you could put on the pedal or on the throttle to know if the car was run wot to ensure no sand bagging.

it would depend on a couple things.

1st, probably not, since my gf wouldnt like taht any and if i lost, i sure as hell wouldnt be handing her over
2. she'd have to be pretty hot
3. i'd need to know she was clean of any diseases
4. i dont want this dude coming back for her after i've won her and got 'the pink' either

 

I dunno, there are some pretty big players in chicago and texas that I bet would/do. I have heard of races that resulted in pink slips being handed over, or very large amounts of money.

But this is basically pretty boys with loads of cash from mommy and daddy having cars built for them. Whats one car when you can afford hundreds of them?

 

real races for pinks are quite rare. race for money is more common, but even then few and far between. its just not worth getting a bullet to the face when you try to collect your money, or get your car completely jacked (what do you tell the police then?). most racing is friendly and not for anything but pride

 

I know the big players from Chicago and trust me nobody does that around here, big money races are quite common however.
