My friend's dad won a BEAUTIFUL 396 Chevelle back in the day racing for pinks. Retard thought he could take the guys bike...didnt happen. Car got sold and my friends dad was that much richer.

 

There are not many races for "pinks". Most races are for cash these days and beleive me, they are not funded by "mommy and daddy". Most by far are financially stable adults, sometimes middle-aged. By the way, I don't think the "Pinks" show is necessarily lame (opinion). Check out that show's ratings! If it were lame, there wouldn't be so many people tuning in and making Rich Christiansen and Speed rich! I know some folks scheduled to run on that show and will be filmed at Va Motorsports Park on Sept 16.

Most people can't race for pinks anyway, the bank owns their cars.

 

I actually have been thinking about this alot......and i have to say since my car is a classic, 68' i would NOT do it. not to sure about street racing period, we will see what it does on the dyno when im done rebuilding the engine and get at ransmission that can handel the power that my engine will be putting out. I love my car too much to do something stupid like that. truth be told , i wont even sell my car. i had a offer from a friend for 10,000. i paid $2125 for the car. i would not sell it to him. i might consider $20,000. but i doubt anyone would be stupid enough to buy my car for $20,000. My car is my first born ( im 15 years old ). it would be like asking your kds to race and who ever looses dies. you would not want to take those risks.......pure and simple i wont race for pinks....

i had a guy in a 79 T.A with a 6.6 ask me if i wanted to run for pinks and i said no, cuz earlier that night i saw him sitting at a light and the thing was cammed big time. i saw him a few times after that and we finally settled to race for 100 bucks, but he wanted to go best 2 outta 3 and so we took them down to the track that saturday and i found out he was just talking crap when he wanted to race for slips i cuz i beat him by 2-3 legnth on the first two runs, so i guess my point is some guys will ask just cuz they want to see ppl back down. i think it gives them a since of victory when ppl say no. man i could have had a 79 t.a needed a paint job though

 

not my GT. no way in hell. i love it too much. HOWEVER, if i ever get a Notch MADE for racing........id think about it. especially if i know how fast the car is, and i kno most of the people around here or theyll kno what the car has, so, possibly. plus, i might consider gettin a hold of Nate Pritchett who now does the casting and send him the slips of my car and blah blah blah and have him set something up. i might walk away with a new car.....who knows
