One of the guys in my unit who is on this trip with me, just came in and saw me browsing the site. He drives an Integra, syas its a quick car, he has an exhuast on it and thats about it. No wing or other stupid stuff. Well he pipes up after I say they are spritely more so than quick and he informs me of a "friend" who has a 500 hp civic (but its in the DC area) can beat any Mustang I know of. That is a tall order cause there are two mid ten second street stangs in the Charleston area. Then I ask if he can beat a few friends of mine LS1's some of which are mid 10 sec cars (since mine isnt running and I am not there to drive it), Then he says well yeah probably, then he adds, oh yeah he just wrecked it two days ago cause hes a druggy.

He asks what I drive and my roommate who used to live across the street from me (and has seen me paint the GTO with Krylon spray cans) says a beat up old GTO. Adding I should not build engines and that I should put money into the body and paint. Make it look nice and then girls will come to you. I have a girl I like fast cars, I dont care what they look like, and if my bird were pretty I sure as hell wouldnt get any races then either.

I guess the point of this is, 1 he is misguided, and two where do they get these ideas? Its not every kid with an import, just a few morons like him who give the rest a bad name. My roommate has a pretty red 03 Accord 4 door, I love the color and its nice inside, but of course I would never own it. Its not me. Cars are an extension of myself, at least that is how I am. You may be different.

Why do they always "500 hp" and not just ricers, the $hit talking old men at car show say it too. The reason most of kids are so misinformed is because they have never riden in a really fast car, I have givin rides to some people in my Nova and they think it has crazy hp, but it really only puts out about 435 at the fly wheel, but it runs 11.45's
