Default me vs 72 vette

A friend of a friend has a 72 vette with a 383 in it, and we went to the car show together this weekend. I got a couple of pics of it at the show I will post when I get home today.

Anyways, he has a 383 stroker (good for 7000+ but shifts at like 6200~ for power), a set of eldebrock jr aluminum heads, eldebrock jr intake, holley carb, real heavy cam (sounds mean) and full exhaust with equal length headers, running a automatic (4spd) trans. He said it dynoed (engine dyno at the engine build shop) 418 horsepower and 450 FT/LBs

I was really looking forward to racing him, but we never got a good side by side chance. (nothing worth videotaping anyway). On the way up there unfortuantly its all 2 lane road.

However, we did do a couple runs while passing cars. He would get on it first and start passing the car, and I would hit it and start the chase. After we passed the car we would run it up to around 100 MPH and then shut down.

I pulled on him every time. He would start getting away at first (since he took off first) and I was able to reel him in pretty good after a few seconds. In his words "it didn't take long to fill that mirror full of red"

The car ran really strong though. From a stop it would have been complete murder (me killling him) but from a roll it took at least a full gear before I would catch up and start pulling on him hard. (starting in 3rd around 50 MPH)

stock ride hieght, I can't lower the car and still get in my driveway

It has the stock rims, but they only came on that year of car (2000). Its called a springtime edition.

I have pics on here in the pictures section. The only changes I made was the tint, the rear spoiler (painted black) and the mach 1 grill deletle/chin spoiler.
