these cars (eclipses) can be fast when they're modded correctly but people (around here at least) talk them up toooooo much just being stock. and then when they dont win the race, its because "something is wrong"

There are a few guys running around my neck of the woods with some fast 6's. Most with a shot of spray. One has a vortech S/C and crushes LS1s and GTs at the track. If a potential "taker" doesn't hear that whistle or notice the M/T DRs he often get's seriously embarrassed. I think that's pretty cool.

This is true, I love the sh*t out of my car. I really want to go turbo but I know I wont have the funds for a couple years.[:@] And gas through the city is killing me, I spend so much money on gas.

Yeah the turbo eclipse has a lot of turbo lag but yeah they can be quick w/ just a few mods and they are pretty light. I was thinking about just getting a stock one to fool around with either to mod or keep it as my "economy" car. Considering I can find a few nicely modded talon TSI's for a fraction of the cost though has got me thinking. I found a lot of 11 second TSI's for like $4000.

KK, sry it is a good motor I mean its good Nuff for Evo right? yes teh stock Turbo Blows. But when yah put a T4 Turbo on a Stock 4g63 that lasted fer a whole couple hrs...Was fun while it lasted :-) and yes we knew it was goanna happen.... its a BIGGG Turbo
Sorry but that's misinformation. They ARE slow stock, but saying the 4g63 sucks is like blasphemy lol. Maybe you mean the t-25 turbo the 2g's come with? That turbo does suck.

one of my friends has a turboed eclipse.......not sure wat gen...but he thinks its the fastest thing ever...its not even that fast...i rode with him in it he was tryin to show off..and he barely got a chirp from his tires in 2nd gear...my cars got an automatic and it will chirp them in 3rd.....haha
